Gov. Marañon said that the demand for organic products increases by 20 percent annually because more people are becoming aware of the contents of the food that they consume and are very health conscious nowadays.

He also encouraged the participants to visit the organic market located at the back of the Capitol that sells organic food and other farm products showing the shared vision of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental to become the "Organic Food Bowl of Asia."

The four-day conference, attended by the participants coming from the different provinces, will culminate on Friday, May 6.

The provincial government hosted a fellowship dinner at Capitol Grounds last night.
